Our Staff

 

MINI BIOGRAPHIES – BRING HUMAN TOUCH TO THE SITE.

 

The success of managing, organising and running the day to day activities of educational and peer enhanced centres and facilities for young people and adults with a broad range of special needs and disabilities is very much down to the professionalism, dedication, commitment, enthusiasm and hard work of all the staff and volunteers involved.

With no fewer than five graduates and all our staff highly qualified and holding the appropriate qualifications and enhanced disclosures, we are very confident with regards to the safety and welfare of all our students.  The wellbeing of all students coming to the centre is assured by our nine full time staff.  With their communicative and creative skills and a truly caring and positive ethos, students thrive in this safe and fun environment with constant encouragement, exploring and stretching the boundaries of their abilities.

At Orcadia we recognize the importance of this and are highly privileged and proud to have onboard a team of staff and volunteers whom encompass all these attributes.

We have seven volunteers who share our work ethics and assist in a variety of roles in classes and helping in the trampolines.

We also have six work experience students drawn from our Creative Construction Programme who work in a variety of areas in the centre with the continual support of full time staff.

All our staff are encouraged and expected to continue their personal development by attending further training courses, ensuring the ongoing development of Orcadia CLC in offering innovative and creative environments to enhance and extend the students experience.

Has been with Orcadia for 11 years and is our Health & Safety Officer.  Jamie has been on training for: first aid, passenger assistant training, web design, food & hygiene.

Liam - Centre Staff

 

Has been with Orcadia for 7 years and is a trampoline Instructor.  Liam has passenger assistant training.

Russell - Centre Staff

 

Has been with Orcadia for 10 years and has had minibus emergency training, fire safety on minibus training and passenger assistant training.

 

Management

We currently have a small Board made up of volunteers and one person who works part time in Education & Administration.

The Board hold monthly meetings to discuss Orcadia’s progress and how Orcadia can be enhanced.
